Despite being sidelined due to foot surgery, Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams took to his official social media page to laud Jordan Ayew’s remarkable hat-trick performance in Ghana’s exhilarating 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic.

Williams, unable to join his teammates on the field, expressed his admiration with a simple yet emphatic message, labeling Ayew as the “MVP !!alongside emojis of a ringed planet and a star-struck face. The gesture highlighted the camaraderie and support within the team as they secured a hard-fought win in Kumasi under the guidance of coach Otto Addo.

The triumph not only extended Ghana’s winning streak in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers but also showcased their resilience following a mixed start to the campaign. After a narrow 1-0 victory over Madagascar and a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Comoros, Ghana rebounded with a 2-1 win against Mali, with goals from Ernest Nuamah and the prolific Jordan Ayew.

In the highly anticipated clash against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10, 2024, Ayew once again stole the spotlight with a sensational hat-trick, while winger Fatawu Issahaku added another goal to secure the thrilling 4-3 victory.

With this latest triumph, Ghana solidifies its position atop Group I with nine points from four games, reaffirming their determination to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Williams’ gesture of support underscores the unity and camaraderie within the team as they strive for success on the international stage.
