H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana, is rallying support for the Black Queens as they gear up to face the Copper Queens of Zambia in a crucial second-leg encounter of the Olympic Games qualifiers.

Following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Zambia in the first leg on home soil, the Black Queens are now in Zambia, aiming to overturn the deficit and secure their path to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

In his address to the nation, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the commendable performance of the Black Queens, urging Ghanaians to throw their full support behind the team.

“Despite their recent setback against Zambia, the Black Queens have displayed remarkable resilience and deserve our unwavering support,” stated President Akufo-Addo. “Let us wish them well as they strive for victory in the second leg match in Lusaka tomorrow, and hope they provide us with a reason to celebrate.”

With the Black Queens determined to bounce back and secure a win, coach Nora Hauptle expresses confidence in her team’s ability to deliver a positive result in what promises to be a thrilling encounter between Zambia and Ghana.
