Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah stole the spotlight for Norwich City with two dramatic late goals, sealing a remarkable comeback win over Coventry City in the English Championship.

The thrilling encounter unfolded on Saturday afternoon at Carrow Road, where Norwich initially fell behind in the 24th minute after Milan van Ewijk scored for Coventry. Despite dominating possession in the second half, the Canaries struggled to find an equalizer and went into halftime trailing 1-0.

Seeking a spark, Norwich manager David Wagner introduced Amankwah in the 84th minute, replacing Kellen Fisher. The 20-year-old wasted no time making his presence felt, delivering a stunning late performance.

In a pulsating finale, Amankwah fired home the equalizer in the 91st minute, igniting the Carrow Road crowd. He then completed the dramatic turnaround with a decisive goal in the 95th minute, securing all three points for Norwich.

The victory moved Norwich City to 11th place in the Championship standings, with 36 points from their campaign so far.

Amankwah, who joined Norwich from Red Bull Salzburg, has now scored twice in 17 appearances this season. Reflecting on his impact, the young midfielder is eager to maintain this momentum as the team heads into crucial fixtures.

Norwich will next face Brighton in an FA Cup third-round tie on Saturday, January 11, before resuming league action with a challenging trip to Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane on Saturday, January 18. Fans will undoubtedly be watching to see if Amankwah can replicate his heroics in these upcoming matches.
