Ghanaian forward Frank Appiah struck in stoppage time to secure a dramatic 2–1 comeback victory for FC Petržalka against MFK Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš in the Slovak Liga 2 on Friday.
Petržalka were made to work hard for all three points in a tightly contested encounter, but Appiah produced the decisive moment at the death to complete a spirited turnaround.
His compatriots, Samuel Alabi and Collins Boah—both former Dreams FC midfielders—also featured in the match, playing key roles in the team’s performance.
Boah was particularly influential, delivering a superb assist for Petržalka’s equaliser as the home side fought back into the game.
With momentum building late on, Appiah stepped up in stoppage time to fire home the winner, sealing a valuable victory for Petržalka in front of their supporters.
The result highlights the growing impact of Ghanaian players in the Slovak second tier, with all three contributing significantly in a hard-fought win.
