Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is on the verge of completing a move to Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town, with the talented winger expected to undergo his mandatory medical later this week.
The 20-year-old has been the subject of interest from several clubs, including West Ham United and Everton, but Ipswich have moved ahead of the competition and are now closing in on his signature.
Reports indicate that Ipswich Town and Leicester City have reached a verbal agreement over a deal worth more than £20 million, paving the way for the Ghanaian international to complete his move to Portman Road.
We understands that Issahaku will undergo his medical in the coming days before officially signing for the Premier League returnees.
Despite Leicester City’s difficult campaign, the Black Stars winger was one of the Foxes’ standout performers, contributing nine goals and eight assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
Issahaku initially joined Leicester City on loan from Sporting CP in 2023 before the transfer was made permanent following the club’s promotion to the Premier League. Since then, he has established himself as one of Ghana’s brightest young talents, earning praise for his blistering pace, creativity and attacking flair.
