Basake Holy Stars continued their impressive home form in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, defeating Bechem United 1-0 at the AAK II Park to maintain their perfect record on home soil.
Bismark Teye Tetteh scored the decisive goal early in the second half as Holy Stars bounced back to winning ways and registered their fourth victory of the season.
Determined to protect their unbeaten home run after another disappointing result on the road, the hosts started brightly and created several opportunities in the opening half. However, they were unable to convert their chances as Bechem United stood firm defensively.
The Hunters also fashioned a few opportunities of their own but struggled to threaten consistently and failed to produce the attacking quality that had earned them success in previous outings.
Holy Stars resumed the second half with renewed intensity and pinned the visitors deep inside their own half with sustained attacking pressure.
Their persistence paid off 10 minutes after the restart when Teye Tetteh found the breakthrough with a well-taken finish to send the home supporters into celebration.
The hosts managed the remainder of the contest professionally, limiting Bechem United’s attacking opportunities and preserving their slender advantage until the final whistle.
The victory extends Bechem United’s winless streak against Basake Holy Stars to five Ghana Premier League meetings, while Holy Stars climb to fifth place in the standings after making it four wins from four home matches this season.
