The decisive victory came on Tuesday night, with the Black Satellites clinching a hard-fought 1-0 win against the Senegal U20 national team.
The showdown unfolded at the Accra Sports Stadium, where both youth national teams battled fiercely for a spot in the final. Despite Ghana’s dominance in the first half, the hosts struggled to find the back of the net, entering halftime on level terms.
As the second half commenced, Ghana continued to assert their authority on the field, while Senegal made valiant attempts to challenge their opponents’ defense. In a pivotal moment late in the game, substitute Michael Ephson broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute, securing a crucial goal for the Black Satellites.
With Ghana maintaining their lead until the final whistle, the Black Satellites successfully held on to secure a narrow yet well-deserved victory.
