Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have returned to full training for the first time in almost seven months ahead of the start of the 2020/21 football season.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 17th Address to the Nation on the update of the COVID-19 pandemic, lifted the ban on contact sports, giving clearance for the resumption of competitive football activities in Ghana.
Football activities in Ghana have been on suspension since March 16, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, leading to the cancellation of the 2019/2020 season.
Kotoko will represent Ghana in next season’s Caf Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors took to their twitter page to confirm their return to training at the Adako Jachie.
