Legon Cities assistant coach, Saeed Adnan, is optimistic that his team can turn their season around with a strong performance against Asante Kotoko.
The Royals have struggled since the start of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, collecting just two points from seven matches, which has left them at the bottom of the league table. Despite these early setbacks, Adnan believes that Legon Cities can find their footing and secure their place in the league with resilience and determination.
As they prepare to face Asante Kotoko at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, Adnan views this match as a potential turning point for his team. “We did not start the season well. We are playing better, but we are not scoring,” he admitted. However, he emphasized that they’re not treating this match against Kotoko any differently from others. “We don’t see Kotoko’s game as crucial; we see it to be like other games and we are approaching it with our tactical observations.”
Adnan is confident that his team has what it takes to claim victory, adding, “We believe the maximum points will be ours at the end of the game. Kotoko’s game would definitely be a turning point for us.”
With the determination to rise above their slow start, Legon Cities hope to bring new energy to their campaign with a strong showing against one of the league’s top teams.
