English Championship side Nottingham Forest, have announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu on a season-long loan deal from Premiership side Arsenal in the ongoing summer window transfer.
The versatile right back joins The Reds until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Osei-Tutu, 22, has already had a taste of the Championship having spent time last season on loan with Cardiff City. He also made 21 appearances on loan to German second division side VfL Bochum in the 2019-20 season, where he scored five goals and also operated as a winger.
Jordi signed as a young professional at Arsenal in 2015 having previously been a scholar at Reading.
Speaking on the Osei-Tutu’s capture, Chris Hughton said: “After bringing in Philip Zinckernagel at the weekend, I am pleased that we are now able to bring in another player of real pedigree in Jordi.
“At 22, he has good experience of coming through the highly regarded system at Arsenal and also plenty of league experience via two loans spells.
“His spell at Bochum was particularly impressive and he is another player who gives us some flexibility and options.
“He is a highly thought of young player and adds to the competition for places that we’re seeking in this window.”
The player also expressed excitement after signing the deal, saying: “I’m delighted to sign for such a historic club and I can’t wait to see the fans for the first time.
“Everything about the club attracted me and the manager, Chris Hughton, is great and I’m excited to get started.
“It’s really important for me to get my head down now and it’s good to know that I’m here for a full season and I want to show everyone what I can do.
“I know what to expect in the division, it’s a very tough and physical league but I’m ready for the challenge ahead.”
