Alhaji Grusah has boldly called for the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), urging President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take decisive action following the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Grusah, a prominent figure in Ghanaian football, voiced his discontent with the current state of the sport under the leadership of GFA President Kurt Okraku. His comments come amid increasing criticism of Okraku’s tenure, particularly after the Black Stars’ disappointing campaign.
Despite concerns over potential FIFA sanctions, Grusah dismissed these fears, insisting that such a move would not harm Ghana’s position in international football.
“I’m calling on the President of Ghana, Akufo-Addo, and the Sports Minister to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA). FIFA will not sanction Ghana for that,” Grusah stated.
The outspoken football administrator further emphasized his willingness to support any efforts to remove Okraku from office, saying, “I will gladly accept and be involved in any attempt to take Kurt out of power.”
