Alhaji Karim Grusah, owner of King Faisal Football Club, has fiercely criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) under Kurt Okraku’s leadership, accusing it of prioritizing personal and financial interests at the expense of the national footballing agenda.
Grusah’s comments come amidst growing frustration over the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), marking the first time in 20 years that Ghana has missed out on the prestigious tournament.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Grusah did not mince words in his assessment of Okraku’s administration, claiming it operates on favoritism and personal connections rather than merit.
“The administration of Kurt Okraku is a selfish administration,” Grusah asserted. “It is full of selfish interests, friends and family interests, and an agency-driven agenda. The aim of this administration is to invite their players to the national team and later sell them for big money.”
With Ghana now turning its focus to World Cup qualifiers, Grusah’s scathing remarks reflect the growing discontent among some football stakeholders regarding the current state of the Black Stars.
