Eintrach Frankfurt forward Kevin-Prince Boateng is happy with the performance of his side despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to giants Bayern Munich over the weekend.
Aturo Vidal’s own goal was all that the German giants needed to beat a very well composed Eintrach Frankfurt team.
KP Boateng did his best over the weekend but his best wasn’t enough for the host only to be beaten at their own back yard.
The Ghanaian international is however contented despite losing important points at home.
“I’m very proud and very satisfied. We played almost perfectly for 90 minutes. The team deserves huge credit for that,” he told eintracht.de.
“We ran, we fought, we played football and got the crowd behind us – you can’t do any more than that. It’s sad to lose a game like that but we’ve got to look forwards.
“We played exactly the way we planned to. The coach prepared us perfectly. The only thing missing was a good result, the final pass or the last centimetre.
“It was nice to watch. We dozed off a bit at the back post for their goal, but these things happen.”
