Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boateng, scored and also assisted in AD Alcorcón’s 4-2 win over Club Deportivo Lugo at the Estadio Anxo Carro on Sunday afternoon in the Spanish Segunda Division.
Boateng, who is the junior brother of former Ghana international Derek Boateng, opened the scoring for the visitors just after ten minutes with a fine header from a corner before Dani Romera increased the tally to 2-0 in the 32nd minute after connecting a pass from the Ghanaian international.
Alcorcón kept pushing for more goals in a bid to dispatch the home team but it was Cristian Herrera who pulled one back for CD Lugo on the stroke to recess.
Back from the break, Alcorcon looked more dangerous and purposeful with some thunderous counter attacks.
An evidence to their pressing game was when Stoichkov gave them a fascinating 3-1 lead in the 49th minute mark.
Cristian Herrera however, struck on the 58th minute to reduce the score line to 3-2 but Francisco Sandaza ensured CD Lugo’s woes were deepened after scoring five minutes from stoppage time to snatch a 4-2 away win for AD Alcorcon.
