Atta Kusi has disclosed why he opted to sign for Ashanti Gold SC after his long break in football.
The 26-year-old right-back joins the 2019/2020 Confederation Cup campaigners on a two-year deal after he mutually abrogated his contract with Asante Kotoko in 2017.
“I received a call from the bank roller (Dr Kwaku Frimpong) after Ashanti Gold had qualified to play in the Confederation Cup after they annexed the Normalisation Committee Tier 2 competition. I have a very good relationship with him. He’s like a Father to me. I couldn’t reject his proposal though I wanted to move out of this country,” Atta Kusi revealed to Kumasi-based Okese FM.
“My target is to win the Premier League with Ashanti Gold and reach the group stages of the Africa campaign. I believe that I can achieve my goal,” he ended.
