Black Stars and Enyimba FC shoot-stopper Fatua Dauda is optimistic Ghana’s current Black Stars ‘B’ team can end the nation’s abysmal performance in the ‘CHAN’ tournament if the team is well-looked-after.
As the departure of locally based players to join teams overseas have contributed bitterly to the development of the Ghana Premier league and also making it difficult for assembling strong team to feature for the nation at tournaments in recent years, Duada is urging the technical handlers of the team to do whatever is within their might to keep players in the league.
He says ‘’It will be difficult though as players travel for money, team owners should do everything they can to keep players in the league, if the need it is necessary to increase their salaries as it has been done in other developed leagues” the former Ashgold Goalie said on Metro TV’s Sports File show.
The ‘Black Stars B’ team in the ongoing WAFU tournament later today face-off their Nigerien counterparts in Cape Coast and Duada says he has been monitoring the team for quite some time now ‘’even though the team’s preparation towards the WAFU tournament at Ghanaman Soccer Of Excellence (Prampram) wasn’t enough “Ghana have a good squad” he indicated.
