The 33-year-old has featured extensively across Italy’s professional divisions, earning a reputation as a dependable midfielder with leadership qualities, tactical intelligence and a strong work ethic.
Real Aversa described the acquisition as a major statement of ambition as they aim to compete for promotion and climb higher in the Italian football pyramid.
“A signing that raises the bar, ignites the enthusiasm of the city and sends a strong message to the entire championship,” the club announced.
“Real Aversa 1925 has secured the services of Ghanaian midfielder Bright Christopher Addae, a player of international experience, a charismatic leader and a true man of experience.”
The club added that Addae’s arrival represents more than just a squad addition, highlighting his remarkable career record in Italian football.
“The arrival of the class of 1992 represents much more than just a reinforcement: it is a declaration of intentions. We are bringing to Aversa a player who has written important pages of Italian football.”
Addae leaves Nardò after making 96 appearances for the club and helping them reach the playoffs, further enhancing his reputation as a leader both on and off the pitch.
The former Ghana U20 midfielder has enjoyed a remarkable career in Italy, recording 163 appearances in Serie B during spells with clubs including Ascoli Calcio and Juve Stabia.
He has also accumulated 50 appearances in Serie C and featured around 150 times in Serie D, giving him more than 400 official appearances across Italian competitions.
