Eintracht Braunschweig has strengthened its attack by securing Ghanaian forward Richmond Tachie on loan from 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the rest of the 2024/25 season. However, the deal does not include a purchase option.
Tachie, 25, began his football career at VfL Wolfsburg’s academy before moving to Viktoria Köln in 2019. He later played for Borussia Dortmund II, SC Paderborn, and most recently, Kaiserslautern.
The Berlin-born forward has built solid experience in German football, making 54 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, where he recorded four goals and seven assists. He has also played 37 matches in the 3. Liga, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
Eintracht Braunschweig’s sports director, Benjamin Kessel, is confident that Tachie will add energy and firepower to the team’s attack. He praised the player’s qualities, saying:
“Richmond is a versatile striker who will liven up our offensive game and increase the goal threat. In addition to his speed and dynamism, he is hard-working against the ball, has a drive to goal, and has a good finish.
“In addition, Richmond is familiar with the 2nd Bundesliga, is fit, and ready to play immediately.”
With Braunschweig fighting to retain their place in the 2. Bundesliga, Tachie’s speed, experience, and attacking instinct could play a crucial role in their survival bid.
