Ghana goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacot has earned a spot in the League Two team of the week after an impressive performance for Swindon Town in their win at Newport County.
The 25-year old netminder was at his quality best as he pulled some incredible saves to rescue Swindon Town in the game played at Rodney Parade.
Wollacot’s top-notch display for his side made him the best Goalie in the Team of the Week over the weekend.
Nigerian player Finn Isaac Azaz’s netted an own goal to put Swindon ahead in the 72nd but his strike was two minutes later by Dom Telford.
With just two minutes to full time, Jack Payne hit the back of the net to snatch all three points for Swindon Town.
Wollacot was Ghana’s No1. goalie in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Ethiopia and South Africa. He helped Ghana secure qualification to play in the World Cup play-offs in March next year.
