Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong was on the score sheet for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in their emphatic win over Schalke 04 away from home.
The young and enterprising right-back showed his mettle again in the German top-flight for the Red and Blacks outfit who whipped the Blues.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, it took Frimpong just five minutes to find the back of the net for his team and put them 1-0 up after 50 minutes.
Florian Wirtz scored the second goal for the away team to make it 2-0 for Xabi Alonso’s men with just under 30 mintues to play.
Sardar Azmoun added the third goal to make it 3-0 at the end of the match for the UEFA Champions League hopefuls.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian versatile player has eight goals and provided six assists in 26 League games in the 2022-23 German top-flight.
