Badu,20, made just four league appearances for FC Chambly OISE during the truncated 2019/20 season.
The Le Mans-born, meanwhile, signed a two-year contract extension deal with his parent club Montpellier HSC which will tie him until June 2022.
The talented striker is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international level despite representing France at the U18 level.
