Ghana international Kwesi Appiah scored his first goal for English fourth tier side Crawley Town in his second appearance for the club on Saturday as they lost to Forest Green.
The Ghanaian sealed a move back to English football this summer and was given a place on the bench for Saturday’s game. The 31-year-old was introduced in the 64-th minute of the game as he replaced Tyler Frost, with his side trailing with a 3-2 scoreline.
Forest Green added three more goals to their tally after the introduction of Appiah before the Ghanaian forward found his name on the scoresheet with four minutes to go until full time.
The former AFC Wimbledon striker also received a yellow card in the game as his side suffered a heavy 6-3 defeat at the end of the game.
Having just a year deal with the club, Appiah will be hoping his debut goal gives the a manager a good reason to make him a starter in their next game.
