Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini has expressed his excitement and confidence after inspiring Union Saint-Gilloise to a narrow victory over Sporting Charleroi in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
The former Sturm Graz attacker was called to action on Saturday, and his goal from the penalty spot late in the game proved to be the decisive moment in the match.
Fuseini’s strike, which came three minutes into the additional time, registered his first goal at home for the Belgium outfit. The Right to Dream Academy graduate was pleased with his performance and believes that his team’s success will come from working together.
“I feel amazing. I feel very confident with the team. I think we just have to keep on going and working as a team, it will take time to get more goals but then we have to keep going and we will get to win more games,” he said in a post-match interview.
Fuseini also highlighted his experience taking penalties, saying that he doesn’t feel pressure when taking spot kicks. He emphasized that he always focuses on scoring the goal and believes that his confidence in taking penalties is an asset for his team.
The 22-year-old has already made an impressive start to his career with Union Saint-Gilloise, netting two goals and delivering an assist in three matches since joining the club.
