Young Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Mustapha was on target for Radnicki Mitrovica over the weekend in the Serbian Division One League.
Unfortunately, the youngster’s goal wasn’t enough to prevent his team from defeat as they lost 3-2 to Kabel.
The enterprising attacker scored the opening goal of the match in the 27th minute after right back Dragan Matke sent in a delicious cross for him to tap into the bottom right corner to make it 1-0.
The visitors, FK Kabel Novi SAD took charge and controlled the game as Obuya Pius grabbed the equaliser in the 38th minute.
On the stroke of half time, Sinisa Njemcevic scored a brilliant goal to give the away team the lead before the interval.
They stretched their lead to two in the second half through Njemcevic’s converted penalty kick on 71 minutes.
Predrag Vladic pulled one back in the 78th for Radnicki Mitrovica to set up a frenetic ending to the match , but the away side stood defended gallantly to walk away with all three points.
Mustapha is currently a joint top scorer in the second tier of the Serbia league with six goals three assists after playing in 11 games this season.
