Ghana Premier League winners Hearts of Oak industrious midfielder Emmanuel Nettey is likely to miss the Rainbow Boys CAF Champions League match against Wydad Casablanca on Sunday.
He sustained an injury in Hearts of Oak first game at the Accra Sports Stadium when they defeated Guinean side CI Kamsar to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Due to this, he has not been part of the team all this while and remain in a big doubt for the next game against the Morocco giant this Sunday.
Nettey has been part of the team’s recent domestic successes as he helped the Phobians lift their first major trophy in 12 years.
He’s likely to be absent this time around when the Phobians host Wydad at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the continent’s elite club competition.
The return leg is scheduled for October 24 in Casablanca and the winner will progress to the group stage whiles the loser gets into the playoffs spot of the Confederation Cup.
