Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo was on target twice for Bristol City in their 6:2 loss to Fulham on Saturday in the English EFL Championship.

Antoine Semenyo’s superb goals, however, were cancelled out by Fabio Carvalho, a double from Neeskens Kebano and an Aleksandar Mitrovic hat-trick.

Semenyo had the first shot of the afternoon when he cut on to his left foot and saw his powerful effort held by Marek Rodák.

And he put the visitors in front just before the 10-minute mark when Max O’Leary rolled out to Alex Scott, who swept the ball into the path of City’s No 18 and he turned past his man to rifle a shot into the roof of the net.

Fulham rallied and Harrison Reed’s corner was headed over O’Leary’s goal by the league’s top scorer Mitrović.

Neeskens Kebano found himself one-on-one with Tomas Kalas on the edge of the area, but the Czech did well to push the winger wide before he lashed his effort wide whilst off balance.

City broke well again, this time when Andi Weimann found Jay Dasilva in space on the right, and he whipped a left-footed cross towards the back post but no-one in a red shirt could get on the end of it.

Fulham equalised when Harry Wilson delivered to the back post and Mitrović beat Zak Vyner in the air to head into the bottom corner.

Kebano cut inside from the left and struck a dipping shot into the arms of O’Leary via a slight deflection off Vyner.

O’Leary kept the scores level when he tipped Mitrović’s header over the bar after Wilson’s miss-kick found the Serbian inside the six-yard box.

Semenyo restored City’s lead when he picked up the ball on the half-way line, shrugging off Reed’s efforts to dispossess him, and smashing his right-footed shot into the bottom corner off the post.

Fulham were level almost immediately when Mitrović’s knock down was headed in by Kebano from a yard out.

The hosts took the lead as Carvalho skipped away from the red shirts around him and curled his strike into the far corner of O’Leary’s goal.

Then Tom Cairney’s corner was headed in by Mitrović for his second and Fulham’s fourth of the afternoon.

Mitrović completed his hat-trick in first-half stoppage time, driving his shot into the top corner, the last noticeable act of frantic first half at Craven Cottage.

Andy King connected well with a volley from the edge of the area but saw it sail wide after Scott’s dangerous free-kick was initially punched away by Rodák.

Kebano further extended Fulham’s lead, plucking the ball out of the air and hammering past O’Leary.

City had chances and Andi Weimann saw his header loop just wide of Rodák’s goal after O’Dowda’s delivery from the left.

Kebano went close to a hat-trick of his own when Tom Cairney found him in space at the back post, but his half volley skewed just wide.

Chris Martin, who replaced Jay Dasilva just after half time, did well to slip the ball into the path of Weimann, but the Austrian’s strike was straight at Rodák.
