Ghanaian forward, Nana Opoku Ampomah played his first league game for his new club Royal Antwerp FC on Sunday.
The Ghana International was a second half substitute in his team’s 3-1 comeback win in the Belgium Pro League after he replaced Simen Kristiansen on the 60th minutes mark.
After his introduction, Ampomah became a constant threat to the opposition and created two chances with two shots at goal during his 30 minutes on the field.
Faris Haroun, Martin Hongla and Cristian Benavente scored respectively in the second half as Antwerp beat Daniel Opare’s Zulte Waregem away from home.
Jean-Luc Dompe scored Zulte Waregem’s only goal on the day but his early strike was not enough to prevent his side from defeat.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian joined the Belgium team from German side Fortuna Düsseldorf this summer.
