Accra Hearts of Oak are in advanced negotiations to appoint Bosnian tactician Nebojša Kapor as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians have been searching for a new technical leader following the departure of Didi Dramani, who stepped down after guiding the club through the previous campaign.
Kapor is a familiar figure in Ghanaian football, having previously managed Tema Youth and Medeama SC during his earlier spells in the country. His last Ghanaian assignment was with Medeama, where he remained in charge until December 2023.
Since leaving the Tarkwa-based club, the 38-year-old has continued his coaching career abroad, including a spell in Uganda, and is now on the verge of returning to the Ghana Premier League.
Reports indicate that negotiations between Hearts of Oak and Kapor have reached an advanced stage, with both sides working towards finalising the agreement in the coming days.
If appointed, Kapor will be handed the responsibility of rebuilding the Phobians and guiding the club back into serious contention for domestic honours after a challenging period.
The Hearts of Oak hierarchy is hoping his experience, tactical approach and previous knowledge of Ghanaian football can help restore stability and competitiveness at the club ahead of the new season.
