Ghana coach- Charles Kwablan Akonnor, says he will offer an appreciable opportunities to local based Ghanaian players under his tenure.
The former Ghana captain, players who play in the Ghanaian domestic league and are doing well would be handed equal chance to don the Black Stars jersey.
“My personal target as the Black Stars Coach is to develop individual players to be better and competitive. That will resultantly affect the collective team”
“I also have space for the locally based players because I played mostly here and coached all my live here which has earned me the Black Stars job”, he told Nationwide Television GBC.
“But every player especially the locally based ones should take full advantage of any opportunities they are given”
He took over from Kwasi Appiah after the Ghana Football Association refused to extend his contract which ended on 31st December, 2019.
