Alhaji Grusah, a well-known football administrator and the financier of relegated King Faisal, has announced their intention to take the Ghana Football Association to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) following the dismissal of their protest against Tamale City.
The protest was lodged by the Inshallah Boys against Tamale City, alleging that they fielded an ineligible player, Isaac Mensah, who, according to the club, had another registration in the system under the name Jireh Kojo Nissi.
However, the protest, which pertained to their Ghana Premier League Matchday 30 encounter on May 6 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, has been dismissed for the second time by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
Alhaji Grusah expressed his shock at the ruling and stated their intention to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for further adjudication.
His decision is motivated by the pursuit of justice in what he claims to be a case of a player with dual identities.
“They have informed us that they have dismissed our protest. Parma faced a similar situation when he appealed against Dreams FC. His case was initially dismissed by the GFA but he ultimately won at CAS.”
“Double registrations are not allowed, and we are all aware of this. I will work with my lawyers to prepare the case and take them to CAS for a fair ruling,” he told Peace FM.
