Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jamal Amofa has expressed excitement after signing a new contract with Dutch side ADO Den Haag.
Amofa signed a one-year deal with Dutch top-flight side following his impressive performance for the U-21 team this season – making 15 appearances and scoring one goal.
The promising youngster expressed his excitement as he disclosed he had to remain patient in recent years.

“This contract makes me happy and proud. This feels like a reward for hard work. I had to remain patient in recent years and that has made me mentally strong,” he told the club’s official website
“I would mainly describe myself as a footballing defender, who is constructively strong and likes to retire. I also like one-on-one duels, both in the air and on the ground.”
Amofa, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam featured in the youth of SV Bijlmer, Zeeburgia, AFC and AZ Alkmaar.
He is eligible to play for either Ghana or Holland at any level.
