Justice Blay, the lad who broke the hearts of many Phobians return to Accra in Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC colours again to feature in today’s Super Clash.
The former Medeama SC kingpin scored a winning goal during the first leg of the Super Clash in the 2019-20 season which was later canceled by the Ghana Football Association due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
In that game, the 28-year-old box-to-box midfielder rose highest in the box to head home the winning goal for the Porcupine Warriors to end the game 2-1 victors.
But unfortunately, that season as started earlier was abrogated and the results for that game was subsequently nullified after the cancelation of the competition.
He did not get the opportunity to play in the Super Clash again the following season as the Porcupine Warriors failed to reach agreement with his parent club then, Medeama SC.
After the expiration of his contract at the Never Give Up club in Tarkwa earlier this year, the midfield enforcer returned to Asante Kotoko SC as a free agent.
He played his first game on his Kotoko return in the defeat to bottom placed team Elmina Sharks FC at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina in a game that handed the Red and Whites outfit their second defeat of the season.
He also played a part when the Porcupine Warriors beat Accra Lions 3-1 the following weekend at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.
Today, the midfielder could start against the Phobians, the team he famously scored against during his first spell at Kotoko and would hope to replicate what he did years back which won him the support, affection and love from the Asante Kotoko family.
The two most glamorous clubs in the country come face to face today in search of three points and bragging right as to who’s the best in the Ghana Premier League today at 3pm.
