Former Black Stars midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi, who currently play for Finnish club Ekenäs IF, has expressed his desire to compete in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
A prospective move to a Saudi Arabian club could offer him the chance to earn higher wages, given the significant investments made by Saudi clubs during the current summer transfer window. This trend gained momentum after Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to the league last season.
If Enoch Adu Kofi does secure a transfer, he would join the ranks of several other African players who have made their mark in the league, including Riyad Mahrez, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, and Sadio Mane.
In response to a query about his interest in playing in Saudi Arabia during an interview with Rainbow Radio, Adu Kofi stated, “Oh yes, why not, as a footballer, l will never say no to playing in Saudi Arabia if the opportunity comes, you have to consider your career after it end”
He further added, “Besides, a lot of top players have moved to Saudi Arabia and that will make the league very interesting and attractive”
Adu Kofi’s notable performances in the Finnish League have led to him being appointed as the captain of EIF.
