American-born Ghanaian youngster Yunus Musah is full of joy after making his debut for Valencia in the Spanish LaLiga over the weekend.
Musah, 17, was handed his League debut by Valencia coach Javi Gracia during his side’s 4-2 win over bitterest rivals UD Levante in the opening fixture of the Spanish top-flight on Sunday.
The highly-talented youth midfielder proved his great quality during the game before he was replaced with Ruben Sobrino two minutes from stoppage time.
Musah, who dominated the headlines in Spain after the match, could not hide his happiness, claiming he made the right decision in joining the club.
“It’s incredible, I just wanted to enjoy, is what the coach told me, enjoy and work hard, as I know how to do.”
“I decided to take a different step on my way to make my dream come true,” he posted. It has not failed.”
Musah joined Valencia as a free-agent from English giants Arsenal las year and feature for their team B where he scored a goal in his 17 outings.
He was born to Ghanaian parents in New York (United States), but a few months later his family moved to Italy before finally landing in England years later.
The youngster has represented England at the U15, U16, U17 and the U18 level but remains eligible to play for The Black Stars.
