Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, attributes the club’s recent resurgence to their visit to the Manhyia Palace.
The Porcupine Warriors have secured four points in their last two games, a stark improvement from the single point they garnered in the previous seven matches.
Ogum, acknowledging the significance of their encounter with Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, the club’s owner, believes that the timely intervention at the palace has been instrumental in turning their fortunes around.
“No one in this world will meet the King and the King will talk to him and he will disobey the King, so I think it is good we went to Manhyia to listen to some pieces of advice from the King, from the owner, from the landlord so I think it is good and I think it is doing the trick for,” he said.
Expressing gratitude for the royal guidance, Ogum stressed the importance of continued support from the King, supporters, and Asanteman, foreseeing a promising trajectory for the team.
“We want to thank the King for his timely intervention, we are grateful to him and to the supporters and Asanteman and if this support continues, I think the face of the team will change,” he added.
Asante Kotoko managed to secure a point against defending champions Medeama Sporting Club in Tarkwa, with an upcoming fixture against Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Stadium awaiting them in Matchday 29.
