In-form AshantiGold SC defender Richard Osei Agyemang says he is not worried after being overlooked by Black Stars ‘B’ coach Maxwell Konadu although it remains his dream to play for the national team.
The former Asante Kotoko central defender was overlooked by Coach Maxwell Konadu despite impressing in the ongoing CAF Confederation cup.
His excellent performance ensured AshantiGold kicked out Equatorial Guinea side Akonangui FC from the ongoing Caf Confederation Cup last Saturday.
Despite presently being one of the best center-backs in the Ghanaian domestic league, he has failed to earn a call up to the Black Stars ‘B’ team for next month’s CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Otec FM, Agyemang said ”
”I’m not disappointed for not being called to the national team,”
“All the players called by Maxwell Konadu deserve a call up so I don’t have a problem. You shouldn’t be disappointed as a player when you are not called into the national team. Any player who does that lacks vision.
“Every Ghanaian player deserves to play for the national team so I’m not hurt or disappointed,” He added
