Former Ghana international Godwin Attram has revealed that former Chelsea scout Piet Di Visser was his God in football after he helped him secured a lucrative deal with PSV Eidhoven as a teenager.
Attram joined the Dutch side in 1996 from local side Accra Great Olympics in a move that many described as promising despite his inability to establish himself well at the club due to work permit issues.
Speaking to Starr Sports, the former Accra Great Olympics midfielder insists the former Dutch scout who discovered the likes of, Ronaldo, Neymar and Kelvin De Brunye was the one behind his rise in the game during his playing days.
”I remember after he has helped me to achieve a lot in football ,he the same person who started my career advised me to invest in the game when I retire,”
”He took me as his own biological son and helped me throughout my entire career from PSV Eidhoven, Al Shabab and everywhere I went across the globe so that great man was indeed my ‘God’ football” Attram added.
