Turkish second division club Manisa FC has officially signed Ghanaian defender Philip Gameli Awuku on a one-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year.
The 24-year-old, who was a free agent after departing Tuzlaspor earlier this summer, was announced as a new addition to Manisa FC on August 18th.
Awuku began his professional career in Ghana with Okyeman FC before making a significant move to Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey’s top-flight Süper Lig for the 2020-2021 season.
After two seasons with Yeni Malatyaspor, he joined Tuzlaspor in the 2022-2023 season, where he quickly established himself as a key player.
Over the course of his career, Awuku has featured in 83 official matches, contributing four goals. His experience and defensive capabilities are expected to bolster Manisa FC’s squad as they aim for a successful season.
