Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor have officially submitted an offer for Ghanaian winger Kamal Sowah during the January transfer window.
Sowah became a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Belgian giants Club Brugge. The 25-year-old, a graduate of the renowned Right to Dream Academy, is expected to finalize a deal with Erzurumspor after reaching personal terms with the club.
Meanwhile, Dutch side NAC Breda have also expressed strong interest in signing Sowah, with the potential of reuniting him with former manager Karl Hoefkens. Known for excelling under Hoefkens’ guidance, Sowah is considered a key target for the Dutch club, who are in dire need of reinforcements on the flanks. “Part of the reason for NAC Breda’s interest is his good working relationship with the manager,” sources close to the club reveal.
Sowah’s time at Club Brugge became challenging after Hoefkens’ departure, prompting loan spells at Standard Liege and AZ Alkmaar. Despite the struggles, he managed 53 appearances and scored two goals for Brugge.
Now, with offers on the table from Erzurumspor and NAC Breda, the Ghanaian winger faces a crucial decision about the next chapter of his career as he looks to rediscover his form and make an impact in European football.
