Former Black Stars wing-wizard, Solomon Asante bagged his 6th league goal of the season for Phoenix Rising Stars FC against Sacramento Republic FC with a jaw-breaking free-kick on Saturday evening.
The diminutive winger did not only score but also provided a crucial assist to help his side secure a vital 2-1 away from home in the ongoing United States League championship.
Asante scored from a beautiful free-kick on the 31st minute of the match to put the away team in the lead at the break after a convincing performance from the Red and Blacks.
Three minutes after the hour mark, Asante provided a telling touch inside the box to set up David Ebgo to score the second goal for the visitors on the 63rd-minute mark.
Danny Casey grabbed a consolation for the 10-man Sacramento team as the game ended 2-1 to the Western Conference League leaders.
Asante has played nine games this season for Phoenix Rising Stars in the 2021 USL n America and had six goals and three assists to his name.
