Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall says his outfit never underrated Bolga All Stars contrary to media reports ahead of their 3-3 stalemate in week 13 at the Tamale Utrecht Park on Wednesday.
The Rainbowl colors started the game in a brilliant control in the early minutes as they scored first through Vincent Atinga in the 1st minute but saw their lead canceled by Alhassan Ibrahim’s powerful header in the 24th minute.
Nonetheless, Captain Thomas Abbey restored the Phobians lead in the 31st minute before the game went on break.
Bolga All Stars scored two quick goals in the second half through Ibrahim Giyasu and Alhassan Ibrahim, but the Phobians came out strongly and leveled the score line courtesy Ivorian import Alexander Kouassi to the deny the host victory.
“We didn’t underrate Bolga All Stars, we scored in the first 30 seconds and we really pushed and we feel we should have had a penalty and if it was given it would have been 2-0, so we were pushing,” he said after the game. Frank Nuttall told reporters after the game.
“When it was 1 each, we pushed for 2-1 and we got motivated and it was 2 each and 3-2, and we came to 3-3. And at the end of the game we came close in getting the winner, so i don’t think someone can say we underrate them, we didn’t.”
