President of the Ghana Football Association- Kurt Simeone Okraku has disclosed that the country’s football governing body is in talks with Ghana’s government to pay all national team coaches monthly.
Only Ghana’s senior national team coach, Charles Kwablah Akonnor and his technical team are paid a monthly salary by the government but Mr. Okraku wants other national team coaches to enjoy similar packages.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Hello FM, the GFA President said: ”We’re looking at making all our national teams very competitive. We’re trying to fix all the problems that we have identified,”
”A typical example is, we’re talking to the government to pay all national team coaches monthly salaries.
”When it comes to the Black Stars there’s nothing about salary issues we have talked to them. They know what they’ll take. I can say they are happy.
”About the junior national teams, although we have not finalised the ongoing talks, we have not left them at all. We keep making all of them happy so that they will be able to deliver the same quality service for the football association,” he concluded.
