Ghanaian youngster Raphael Dwamena says he’s not in a rush to join the Black Stars team.
Dwamena who has netted 18 goals in 20 games for SC Austria Lustenau believes will not be overlooked when the time comes for him to represent his country at international level..
Ghana coach Avram Grant is expected to announce his squad by close of the week for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Gabon.
The 21-year-old scoring rate is the highest by any young player in Europe this season.
Speaking in an interview with Joy FM, the lethal striker said “For you to get a call up to the Black Stars no matter the league you play in is all about God’s grace, I am not in competition with anybody, I am doing my own thing and I believe when my time is due God will do it,”
He added “I am just waiting, if Gods permit I will be in the squad, maybe I am scoring goals but I am not ready so we wait to see.”
Connoisseurs of the game are expectant of the Nkawkaw born attacker being named in Ghana’s squad for the 2017 AFCON following his outstanding performance in Europe this year.
