Black Stars new striker Raphael Dwamena says he will not be under pressure to deliver when handed a starting role in Ghana’s team to face Ethiopia Sunday at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
The Black Stars begin their AFCON 2019 qualifier campaign with a match against Ethiopia and the goal poacher indicates he will do his best to help Ghana secure victory on Sunday when named in coach Kwesi Appiah’s starting XI.
The FC Zurich striker said he has done enough training record victory over Ethiopia in the AFCON 2019 qualifier.
I’m are not under pressure to deliver considering the training I have gone through and the moral in camp in also great enough to get us victory on Sunday. he told SportsworldGhana.com in an exclusive interview on Friday.
” I’m a player who is also ready to fire so once given the chance to start on Sunday I will do my best to give the team nothing but a sweet victory therefore I entreat the fans to come to the stadium in their numbers to cheer us to victory.
Dwemena is likely to partner Captain Asamoah Gyan upfront having performed creditably well at training grounds since the team arrived in Kumasi on Monday.
He netted twice in the Black Stars Thursday friendly match against Division One League side Asokwa Deportivo.
