Coach Kwasi Appiah has assured Ghanaians to expect players winning Black Stars players CAF awards under his reign.
No Ghanaian player has been able to win the accolade after Abedi Ayew Pele won the award for the third successive time in 1993.
Although Sammy Kufour, Andre Dede Ayew and Asamoah Gyan came close to winning it, Coach Appiah insists Ghana will soon be producing CAF award winners under his watch.
He was speaking at the the unveiling of the top three nominees for the 2017 CAF awards ceremony at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel .
“The intention has been to build a winsome team and for that reason they will need some time to mature so its difficult for them to win an accolade now”he told Starr Sports
“But once next year or two, they will all be matured for them to be nominated for future CAF awards event”he added
The Black Stars Coach however tipped Mohammed Salah to win the ultimate prize come next January.
