Jordan Ayew shines in Swansea City 1-1 draw with Manchester United


The Ghanaian striker helped his side Swansea City who are battling relegation to pick a point at Old the Trafford.

The Swans held Manchester United to a 1-1 stalemate after regulation time on Sunday afternoon and Jordan Ayew was instrumental for Paul Clement’s side.

Wayne Rooney shot the hist in front on the 45th minute to end the first half 1-0 advantage Jose Mourinho’s side.

Back from recess, Swansea City did not give Marcus Rashord and Lingard room to operate as they kept pushing for a leveler.

Their hard work finally paid off when Gylfi Sigurosson stunning free-kick restored  them parity after Rooney had fouled Ayew who was splendid throughout the game.

Swansea City are 18 on the league log with 32 points with three more matches to end the season.

Should Ayew’s side win their remaining three games they could survive relegation with a slip by 17th placed Hull City.
