Accra Hearts will be playing in the finals of the MTN FA Cup for the very first time in seventeen years.
Hearts of Oak booked a ticket to this year’s FA Cup final after beating Wa All Stars 2-1 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.
The competition record winners were the better side in the first half as sprinter Patrick Razak and lifewire Winful Cobbinah’s magical display frustrated Wa All Stars to finish the first half with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Wa All stars were forced to make an early substitution in the first half when injured Kwaku Asuadze Baffoe was replaced by Kingsley Osei.
Patrick Razak shot the Rainbow colors in front with a sublime finish before Kwame Kixito doubled the lead with a splendid strike few minutes before break.
Back from recess, Wall Stars looked more aggressive and despite to pull a goal back.
Their desperation and determination saw them dominate play in the early stages of the second half as substitute Samuel Attah Adjei marvelous strike got All Stars a consolation.
Coach Frank Nuttull had to introduce left back Joshua Otoo to replace Captain Thomas Abbey in attempt to curtain Wa All Stars thunderous pressure with striker Cosmos Dauda coming on for goal scorer Kwame Kixito.
Daniel Kodie was brought on by Coach Nuttull to replace Patrick Razak who was really electrifying throughout the minutes he spent on the pitch.
The last final match was against 2016 finalist Okwahu United in the year 2000 where they beat the Nkwakwa based side by two goals to nothing.
