Ghana international forward Mohammed Fuseini will not be joining Birmingham City after his proposed loan move from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise collapsed.
The 24-year-old attacker had travelled to England on Monday to complete the transfer, with Birmingham expected to secure his services on a season-long loan deal that included an option to buy.
However, the move broke down before completion, leaving both clubs unable to finalise the agreement.
Fuseini had emerged as a key target for Birmingham City as they looked to strengthen their attacking options, with the forward attracting interest following his performances in Belgium and European competitions.
The former FC Liefering and Sturm Graz player was also wanted by other clubs, including Troyes, Lorient and Derby County, but Birmingham appeared to have won the race before the late collapse.
The Ghanaian forward is now assessing alternative opportunities before the transfer deadline, with his representatives working to find a new destination where he can continue his development.
Fuseini joined Union Saint-Gilloise from Danish club Randers FC and has built a reputation as a quick, direct attacker capable of playing across the frontline.
Despite the failed Birmingham switch, the Ghana international remains attracting interest, and a late move could still be possible before the window closes.
