Ghana’s Dauda Mohammed has expressed his disappointment following Anderlecht’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night.
The Belgian side lost 5-4 on aggregate to Dutch Eredisvise side, Vitesse in the play offs round of the newly introduced competition.
Anderlecht played out a 3-3 draw in the first leg of the fixture at home before suffering a 1-2 defeat away to Vitesse, ending their hopes of playing in Europe.
The failure has led to the Ghanaian, who made a cameo appearance for Vincent Kompany’s side on Thursday being disappointed but has vowed to come back stronger.
“It’s quite disappointing our European campaign had to end this short but surely we’ll come back much more stronger,” Dauda wrote in a Facebook post.
Black Stars midfielder Majeed Ashimeru was an unused substitute in the game against Vitesse as Anderlecht exited the competition.
