Ghana captain Andre Ayew is extremely elated after helping his side Swansea secure English Championship playoff spot with after walloping Reading on Wednesday evening.
The Ghana International provided an important assist in his side’s thumping of Reading FC to finish in the top six of the English Championship.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian was in a confident mood going into the last game of the campaign and delivered one of his best performance of the season for the Jack Army’s as they brush aside Reading on the night.
Going into the game, the Whits needed to win heavily and hope for a slip up by Nottingham Forest who were playing host to Stoke City.
After ending the opening half of the match at a score of 1-1, the away team swung into full flow in the second half to record a resounding 4-1 over 10-man Reading to finish on the last playoffs spot on a goal difference.
Nottingham Forest needed just a point going into the game but suffered a humiliating defeat at home to Stoke City.
Ayew scored 15 times and provided seven assists to help Swansea City to secure a playoff position in the English Championship with the hope of a return to the Premier League.
